Growing up my family’s soap was All My Children; every family had one, sometimes more than one. I remember the scandals that surrounded Erica Kane, Adam and his twin brother Stewart, Kendall and hottie Tad, to name a few. Well, while in NY (about 2 years ago) imagine my delight when I got to play a waitress at a Pine Valley restaurant for a whole summer. Now, AMC is in LA and I recently got to play a nurse at Pine Valley Hospital (apparently, I made a change in my life and decided to get into medicine 
). This time around I had lines. 5 whole lines! And let me tell you this…soap actors are the most underrated actors in the business!!! They shoot an episode a day, sometimes 2, while prime time shows shoot one a week. Not to mention, the script is constantly changing and they have to learn pages upon pages of dialogue in very little time. It seems exhausting. I was just there for 4 hours or so and only had 5 lines like I mentioned earlier, so I didn’t have much to worry about…until I got on set that is. With the show a few hours behind schedule, shooting became lighting fast. One take wonders, if you will and that’s all I had…one take. Hopefully, I didn’t suck too bad. Tune in or set your TiVo’s to find out. My episode airs tomorrow 1pEST/12PST on ABC or 8p on SoapNet.
