My “go to” outfit is definitely a pair of blue jeans and a worn-out, comfy t-shirt. I try to spice things up with the extras. Here I went for my gold tooth necklace by Fetty, F21 leopard booties and a vintage leather bomber. I need to take a dose of my own medicine and play in my closet more. And, maybe a shopping spree is in order too! We’ll see.

Talk about one stop shopping! The Salon by Maxime takes care of you from head to toe, all in one place and I got to experience the goodness just the other day. I was invited to the salon to get a mani/pedi and their famous “Touch Up” make-up application…I left beautified and happy.

First, I started with Irena, she is the manicurist and the nicest woman ever. Not to mention, she gives a hell of a manicure! I went bold with this O.P.I. green color called Jade Is The New Black. How great is that name?!

Next, I sat down with Steven for make-up. I got “The Touch Up” which is a $45 service created for the woman on the go, as the application is done in 20 minutes.  They offer two looks, “The Siren” and “The Natural”. I went with “The Natural” since it was daytime and I had no where to go but home after my visit. Ha!
The Salon by Maxime is also a full service hair salon with frequent celebrity clients like Tori Spelling, Stacy Keibler and Cat Deeley visiting Irena, Steven, owner Maxime and the other stylists often. Plus, they even have their own product line. All and all, I was super happy with my services and the star treatment I received. As an actress and SAG member, the SAG Awards are always very exciting. Members vote for the winners and every time someone I voted for wins, I like to think that it was my vote that made the difference. (Delusional? Yes, I know) And then there’s the red carpet magic, of course. My Best Dressed picks of the night go to Zoe Saldana in Givenchy Haute Couture and Jayma Mays in Reem Acra. A close second were the bright hues of Emily Blunt and Michelle Williams in Oscar de la Renta and Valentino respectively.
Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer both took home awards and looked absolutely stunning!

Young starlet Shailene Woodley went for it with the orange flowers and I can’t tell if I love it or hate it. Thoughts? While, Sofia Vergara shines in hot pink and pretty much anything you put her in!
I almost never like what Tilda Swinton is wearing but I think she nailed it this evening. Simple, classic & chic. All and all lots of good looks tonight, with the exception of one major faux pa from Kristen Wiig, chokers are never a good idea. Never. Sorry. Love you. Bye.

On Tuesday night, Damien and I had the privilege of attending Giving Back Never Looked So Good hosted by E!’s Catt Sadler to benefit the Women Like Us Foundation’s Hollywood Chapter (WLUH). Catt’s mom founded the first chapter of Women Like Us and Catt herself started the Hollywood with chapter with her BFF Xochitl Medina. It was a fantastic night full of good times and reconnecting with good friends.

The mission of WLUH is…
To encourage, empower and engage at-risk kids to continue their education by providing enriching activities while also offering them the tools and resources to develop self-confidence enabling them to blossom into their full potential.

And what’s better than that! I’m going to start working with WLUH and I could not be more excited about it. If you’re in LA and want to volunteer…please do! You can find out more here. 

PS – I don’t know what they pump in the water at E! News but Catt Sadler & Jason Kennedy are seriously the nicest people on the planet! The end.
