Sometimes I forget that it’s winter and actually cold in the rest of the country and on other parts of the planet. I don’t miss freezing NY winters, but I do miss the layer it on fashion. Especially for men. Men don’t have a lot to work with. They wear pants, a top, shoes, a watch and they’re pretty much done. But in the colder months, I encourage you guys to play with layers. Pile on the two jackets, a scarf, throw on a hat, and some gloves. Play with a pop of color or pattern and yes! please wear a great pair shades (in the daytime only!). Use these men as inspiration. If I had to choose between boob cleavage and back cleavage, I’m going back cleavage, all the way. I know quite a few people may disagree, but hear me out. Backs are sexy and items of clothing that showcase them, are few and far between. Breasts are also sexy, but can be very distracting! I’m serious. When a lady has her tatas out, it is extremely hard to focus and I’m a heterosexual female so I can only imagine what guys are going through. Ha! I kid (kind of). Breasts are hot but so are backs. Period. Where am I going with this??!!

Talk about one stop shopping! The Salon by Maxime takes care of you from head to toe, all in one place and I got to experience the goodness just the other day. I was invited to the salon to get a mani/pedi and their famous “Touch Up” make-up application…I left beautified and happy.

First, I started with Irena, she is the manicurist and the nicest woman ever. Not to mention, she gives a hell of a manicure! I went bold with this O.P.I. green color called Jade Is The New Black. How great is that name?!

Next, I sat down with Steven for make-up. I got “The Touch Up” which is a $45 service created for the woman on the go, as the application is done in 20 minutes.  They offer two looks, “The Siren” and “The Natural”. I went with “The Natural” since it was daytime and I had no where to go but home after my visit. Ha!
The Salon by Maxime is also a full service hair salon with frequent celebrity clients like Tori Spelling, Stacy Keibler and Cat Deeley visiting Irena, Steven, owner Maxime and the other stylists often. Plus, they even have their own product line. All and all, I was super happy with my services and the star treatment I received.
