style me bridal : two showers is better than one
I’m the luckiest girl in the world. I’m surrounded by the best friends and family and I count my blessings every day for it.
I’m the luckiest girl in the world. I’m surrounded by the best friends and family and I count my blessings every day for it. I was reminded of this fortune when it came time to plan my bridal
shower showers. My LA bridesmaids and friends threw me a west coast “DIY/crafty shower,” while my sister/maid of honor, along with my mama, threw me an east coast “let’s eat, drink & be merry” shower. Both were fantastic and perfect!
At the LA shower, guests decorated coasters and kitchen towels for Damien and I. My craft-master bud C.C. provided the tools and led the way. To get the full DIY tutorial check out her blog post here.
We then opened presents, and with each gift, I was asked to share how and when I met the person the gift was from. It was an awesome way to get everyone to know each other better and it was super fun to reminisce.
My girl Natalie made the most elaborate bouquet out of the ribbon and tissue paper from the presents. It’s a tradition to then use this bouquet at my wedding rehearsal. Who knew?!
My NY shower was in my parent’s backyard on a perfect Spring day. Mostly family attended with a few of my closest east coast girlfriends.
My sister Jolee went to town on the food and desserts. She made everything you’re about to see (and more) from scratch! Wish you could hear the “oohs” and “ahhs.” Every thing she made was a big hit and these cookies melted my heart.
When I saw this guest book, I cried. So, there’s that. After the NY bridal festivities, we switched gears to celebrate my beautiful mama’s birthday. Yup, it was on the same day…double the occasion, double the fun!
I have the most amazing people in my life!!!
