white picket fence

Sometimes all you need is a statement piece of jewelry and some lipstick! Today I shot with my bud Bradley Meinz…he lives down the street now, which makes for convenient impromptu photo shoots. Its becoming a tradition, one that I like very much. He mentioned he wanted to shoot in front of a white picket fence by his house and I immediately thought Betty Draper (now Betty Francis…they got divorced sadly) and pearls. So I dressed in reverse…pulling back my hair, applying my lipstick and throwing on my necklace. I looked in my closet and saw the Kimchi Blue dress I bought earlier this Summer and thought “Ahhh, that’s it.” Then paired it with grey Urban Outfitters flats. Its funny, I’m always very aware of what I want to wear or at least how I want my hair and make-up. Once I’m sure of one or the other I go for it and see what happens. It usually works out. I like this dress, it has pockets and I love dresses with pockets, though I will say its one of those garments that wrinkles when you breathe!
