shorts for summer, shorts for spring

I’m a gal who loves shorts and chooses them over skirts, a lot of the time, for Spring and Summer fashion…I’m also a gal who went to 12 years of Catholic school and had to wear a uniform skirt everyday. So yeah, I may a little biased against skirts :evil:

The thing is, lots of time ladies will choose a skirt over shorts because they think shorts are too boyish or sporty. But in today’s fashion, there are plenty of sassy, dressy and stylish options that will give you an instant hip and chic look. So try ditching your skirt for a day and try on a cool pair of shorts!

    Help me Grasie! I would love to rock out a pair of cute, sassy shorts…but I have it in my head that I cannot wear them. I have a more athletic, muscular build and believe that in order to pull of shorts properly you have to have teeny-tiny, skinny little legs. Maybe you can take me shopping to find the right style??

    on the contrary, a pair of shorts will be uber HOT on your athletic legs!
    in particular, i can see you rocking any of the black & neutral styles.
    the black pairs will “slim down” your muscle thighs and the french connection ones are a perfect fit for your legs. umm and by the way you have the best dancer legs ever!

    Great post! Nice that you show lots of different prices. I luv Alexander Wang (especially his tanks). The French Connection shorts look really flattering and the price is right!

    Do you know where to find those cute sheer/sparkly ankle socks they’ve been showing in all of the European collections (like Dior)?

    as for the socks…i know exactly what you’re talking about and they’re AMAZING! unfortunately to get those exact ones we prob have to wait till chloe has them in store. i tried searching and found similar looks you can pull off. also i did a blog about ankle socks w strappy shoes…check it out here for other sock/heel combos…other socks below too:

      Thx! I’ve been searching all season. Christian Dior had a few in their Beverly Hills store @ something like $150 per pair (I’m not kidding!) — I tweeted you about Fogal. They have great ankle socks (especially Finesse in great colors — a sheer not too expensive sock that’s pretty great) — the sheer sparkly ones are REALLY hard to find (closest is Fogal Gran Gala) — but I bet next season we’ll be able to find more. If you find them tell me and if I find them, I’ll tell you.
