Kwazulu Natal, South Africa July 2014 - staying at @thandasafari for our one year anniversary/late honeymoon. Africa is magical and this place was no exception. I’ll be gradually sharing a ton of photos from this trip because there’s so many incredible ones. This was our “hut” situated in the middle of the private reserve. We had to be escorted to our room from the lodge every night because the wildlife aka lions could approach at any moment 😬 It was a truly wild experience.

I wasn’t trying to be mysterious when I posted 3 identical photos last night 😂...I just really needed a feed reset. I’ve been on Instagram since its inception back in October of 2010. That’s almost 10 years of photos! 4270 to be exact. I think I still remember my first photo. It was a selfie in my car with terrible lighting and some random in-app filter. Over the years my feed has changed constantly and it’s about to change again. COVID has me missing travel immensely and so I spent hours yesterday scrolling through old photos of all the beautiful places I’ve been lucky enough to visit over the years. From just outside of LA to just off the coast of Africa and everything in between. So from now on (or until I change my mind again), in addition to new images, I’ll be sharing some of my favorite travel photos from over the years. And I will share more landscape images in general because this planet is beautiful and deserves to be photographed. In those captions I’ll also share any resources, tips or local organizations that are working to help save our environment and help the global warming crisis. Hope you enjoy and embrace the change. Personally, I’m sick of every photo being of my face so it’ll be a welcomed changed! PS - my feed will be pretty, my stories will still be a mess. #timeforachange
