I posted this image to my story yesterday and got a lot of DMs asking me about my workout routine, so I decided to share it below.  But first, let me share this disclaimer: I have always been thin, and I attribute this to genetics and being 5’8” not because I’m a health nut or know anything about fitness.

I didn’t start caring about eating well until my mid-30s and I didn’t start working out regularly until 2020 when we were in lockdown and I was bored out of my mind. Now I love working out (though I mostly just love running and tolerate the rest).  All this to say, be kind to yourself and your body. Every body is beautiful and it’s about feeling good in your own skin. We all have insecurities no matter what our size. I’m guilty of it too. No one can tell when I’ve put on 5 lbs but me and I can definitely be mean to myself about it. While I proudly show off the front of my body, I’m still insecure about the dimples and cellulite that exists on my ass and back thighs (hence you’ll never see me posting an ass shot).  But, what I am getting better at is doing what feels good to me and for me. Sometimes that’s going for a run and having a green juice for breakfast, and sometimes that’s eating too much cheese and drinking too much wine with my girls. It’s all about balance.

Okay, so currently (on a good week), this is my workout routine:

Mon/Wed/Fri - Run 2 miles + Stretch
Tues/Thurs - Stairs (300 steps x 3)/Lunges/Squats or Weight Training
Sat/Sun - Free days

If I’m PMSing I usually do nothing that week or just go on long walks and stretch bc I’m always so tired then.

Also, if I’m really busy or working, I might only get to workout/run 2-3 days a week & that’s okay too.

Finally, I drink a TON of water! Like 96 oz or more a day and eat relatively healthy (veggies, fish, no gluten, limited dairy and meat, barely ever eat processed foods and I don’t have a sweet tooth).
