To recap my NYFW experience, I thought I share with you my personal shots (whether near or far) along with my top 3 looks from each collection (as photographed by Style.com). Here we go!
Herve Leger – A dramatic show with a packed house. Herve Leger’s collection was full of structured, fitted pieces with some surprisingly edgy details. A very sexy, rock star vibe that I was definitely into!
BCBGMaxAzria – Another insanely packed house, BCBG’s collection was pretty, soft and flowy with a black lace finale dress that was to die for. (see below middle)
Tracy Reese – A vibrant show with a live conga band and bags of plantain chips on each seat, Tracy Reese brought Latin flare to NYFW. Tattooed models walked the runway in colorful prints and lace rocking some sick gladiator sandals.
Nanette Lepore – Beautiful floral prints, and an aqua lace top that I was drooling over, were just some of the highlights at Nanette Lepore’s show. The collection screams spring and makes me wish we can all just pass right over winter.
Rebecca Minkoff – Two words: Janelle Monáe. That’s all any designer needs to take his or her show to the next level and Minkoff did just that. Monáe performed live during the entire collection making it one of the most energizing shows of NYFW. Pair that with pretty clothes and killers shoes and you got perfection.
Mara Hoffman – Last but most certainly not least, Mara Hoffman WOWed me with every look she sent down the runway. Gorgeous pieces in the vibrant colors and prints with stunning silhouettes. It was almost impossible to pick just 3 favorites, because I literally adore every single piece. So good.
