If you follow any LA bloggers (including myself) on Instagram, you’ve probably seen photos of this white out hotel on Sunset Blvd. It’s called The Bates Motel because it’s on the corner of Bates & Sunset and used to be as creepy as the hotel in the film Psycho. It was recently covered in lime wash by artist Vincent Lamouroux as part of an art installation he calls ProjectionLA. You can learn more about it here. The lime wash is ecologically safe and has turned a run-down street corner into a work of art and a prime location for photo shoots so, of course, I couldn’t resist.
