last minute halloween costumes in your closet
When it comes to Halloween I’m the ultimate procrastinator. I usually wait till the day before to think about my costume and by then the stores are packed and all the good ideas are taken. But this year, I’ve partnered with Who What Wear and TRESemmé to bring you two last minute costume ideas you already have in your closet.
These days fashionistas are huge celebrities, so why not tap into your favorite “It Girl” for Halloween? Taking pieces from the new Who What Wear Collection, my favorite TRESemmé products and accessories from my closet, I’ve created two looks for Halloween that are fun and easy to recreate!
Solange Knowles – Solange is a fashion icon and just recently released her third album “A Seat at the Table.” She also loves color and has the best hair. I took inspiration from one her event looks and created my own “Solange” costume. For the outfit, I took a sweater and skirt from the Who What Wear Collection and add gold accessories. For my hair, I used TRESemmé Extra Firm Control Mousse to add volume to my curls. Hot pink lipstick and my Solange costume was complete!
Ashley Olsen – Earlier this year, Ashley along with her sister Mary Kate opened The Row in NYC; a gorgeous three-story townhouse and the first store in New York. The Olsen sisters are the queens of chic, so I took inspiration from an event look of Ashley’s to create my own “Ashley Olsen” costume. For this look, I’m wearing all Who What Wear (minus the heels) in an outfit that’s so chic and perfectly Olsen. For my hair I parted it in the middle and used TRESemmé Extra Firm Control Gel to slick it back. I used TRESemmé Extra Firm Control Hairspray to smooth out any fly-aways. Done and done! If you can, get a bestie to dress up as Mary Kate as a bonus.
And there you have it, two “Fashion It Girl” Halloween costumes you already have in your closet. Which one is your favorite?
Look 1: Who What Wear crew sweater + skirt
Look 2: Who What Wear coat + open shoulder tunic + cropped pants + scarf + bag
Thank you to Unilever for partnering on this post.
