This month marks the 8th year anniversary of when Damien asked me to move in with him…across the country. To mark this special occasion, I wanted to share our story with you.

This month marks the 8th year anniversary of when Damien asked me to move in with him…across the country. To mark this special occasion, I wanted to share our story with you.

We met in our early 20s, when we were both working at MTV in NY; me as a producer, him as a VJ on TRL. But it wasn’t until our late 20s, that we actually started dating! I was living in LA at the time and Damien was still in NY. We reconnected because he sent me a message on MySpace…ha! I guess it was our version of online dating. Messages turned into texts, which turned into phone calls, which turned into Damien visiting me in LA for a week. That week we fell in love and quickly knew that long distance would not be a fun option. We each flew once a month, back and forth across the country, until December of 2007. That’s when Damien asked me if I would move back to NY to live with him, until the show he was on was over. I said yes.

It was the best decision I’ve ever made. Though I knew moving back to NY would be tough, I also knew it was the only way to give our relationship a chance. Damien also agreed that once he was done with his show, we would move back to LA, which we did. A few years later we got engaged and married a year after that. He’s my best friend and a wonderful husband and I’m so happy I took the plunge with him.

There is no one I rather spend my life with. No one I rather be silly with. No one I rather watch a movie with. In celebration of our 8 years of living together, I’m wearing this Ever Us ring with two diamonds that represent our true love and my best friend.

Happy Moving In Anniversary Damien! 🙂

Thank you to Ever Us for partnering on this post.

    1. Your outfit is gorgeous as usual, but we already knew that. What’s even more gorgeous is your mind! Thank you for using your platform to spread love and information! I am so sorry that these are the times we live in still…in 2017. Sending much love! And pinky swear to do my part in calling out racism and hate.

    2. Darling I am moved by your statements and agree and endorse your message . I would also like to add that these same vile people target the LGBT community, the physically and mentally challenged, and all who speak out against them. If any good can come out of this tragedy, it is that we have seen the faces of these cowards and will not allow them to go back to normal. Out the enemies!!
