It’s the type of hotel, that doesn’t feel like a hotel at all, but instead the dream apartment you would have if you were somewhat rich, super chic and had impeccable taste.
If you’re going to visit LA or if you live in LA and are looking for a stay-cation, I got the place for you. Hotel Covell is a boutique hotel in Los Feliz, that just opened and is owned and run by restauranteur (and friend) Dustin Lancaster. Dustin is a genius and the face behind so many of my favorite stomping grounds; Covell (which is below the hotel), L&E and El Condor, just to name a few. This time around he’s taking a shot at the hotel biz and per usual, he nailed it. The second I walked into Hotel Covell, I wanted to move in. It’s the type of hotel, that doesn’t feel like a hotel at all, but instead the dream apartment you would have if you were somewhat rich, super chic and had impeccable taste. The design is gorgeous, with each of the 5 rooms having a slightly different feel, all created by interior designer Sally Breer. The hotel also boasts a beautiful patio, which is where we shot yesterday’s post. So, yeah, bottomline, it’s awesome.
