Our final stop on the Americana tour was Jackson Hole, Wyoming. We went to Jackson for one purpose: to spend three glorious days at the Amangani resort. This place is luxury at it’s best and the ultimate splurge that’s totally worth every cent! We also went paragliding, which was amazing! It was our way of going out with a “bang.” Here’s what we did:
So like I mentioned we stayed here and it was stunning. Amangani is set high above the town of Jackson on a beautiful mountain. The views are stunning and the service is lovely. The pool is perfectly heated and the food and cocktails are delicious! Our room looked out onto the mountains and we spent ever morning drinking coffee on our patio. It was such an amazing sight; we felt like we were overseas.
Another splurge worth every cent is paragliding over The Grand Tetons! It’s magical and not as scary as it sounds. Seriously. One of our friends is scared of heights and did just fine. The initial “take-off” is the scariest part and it’s not even that scary. After that, you just float over stunning views for about 15 minutes of fun!
We mostly ate at our hotel but for our last night in Jackson, we went to Snake River Grill. Holy heck this place was DELICIOUS! Sadly, I don’t have great shots of the food since the lighting was dark and cell phone use was frowned upon. But, if you go get The SRG Steak Tartare Pizza, The SRG Potato Pancake and the Wild Game Korean Hot Bowl. You can thank me later!
If you like delicious sandwiches made on perfect bread, stop into Local Butcher in the town of Jackson Hole. This little shop was quaint and the sandwiches were on point!
And that was it for our Americana Tour! We came, we saw, we ate! All and all it was an amazing trip through some beautiful parts of the U.S.. I think as Americans we tend to yearn for travel overseas but our very own country is pretty stunning and special too! The end.
