Welcome to THE GRASIE GUIDE, a new weekly blog series where I’ll share places to eat, drink and visit all over Los Angeles and beyond. I’ve shared some favorites before and have added them to the list too. You can check them all out here. But, we are officially kicking things off with California Donuts!

California Donuts is an LA staple that has been around for over 30 years. A family owned establishment open 24 hours a day, where you’ll find the most amazing donuts. Donuts topped with some of your favorite childhood cereals and Girls Scout cookies too. Don’t have a sweet tooth? That’s okay, they also have homemade butter and stuffed croissants that are to die for. What else? How about your name spelled out in donuts?! A fun alternative to birthday or celebration cakes, you can special order a box of personalized donuts. So at a time where donuts are definitely “a thing,” California Donuts is a great option and Grasie approved! (Did I just refer to myself in the 3rd person? I think I did.)
