dublin: part one
Our kidneys are exhausted but our souls are very happy.
We’re back! And I already miss Ireland. It was such an amazing trip, we didn’t want it to end. I have so many photos to share; this is the first of three posts covering the trip and the third one will list all our favorite places to eat, drink and see in Ireland, so stay tuned!
On our first day in Dublin, we settled in nicely to The Dean, a boutique hotel in a lovely part of the city. It has a cool vibe, great decor, a very friendly staff and delicious food and drinks in both of its restaurants. It’s also centrally located, so we walked everywhere and discovered amazing places throughout the city.
One of those places was St. Stephen’s Green, a beautiful park just down the street from The Dean. It’s so green (hence the name) and lush and has this massive arch at one of the entrances, which reminded me of Washington Square Park in NYC, but way more grand. My favorite part about visiting Europe is the stunning architecture. There are so many gorgeous buildings and landmarks to drool over; it’s so photogenic. And that’s exactly what we did most of the trip; leisurely walked around, photographing everything and stopping into pubs for pints of Guinness or glasses of whiskey. Our kidneys are exhausted but our souls are very happy.
Come back tomorrow for more from Dublin!
