Here’s the thing, Maui is so magical and stunning it’s impossible to capture its essence in a photo. Alas I tried and present you with my Maui Travel Diary.
Here’s the thing, Maui is so magical and stunning it’s impossible to capture its essence in a photo. Alas I tried and present you with my Maui Travel Diary. A handful of photos I took on this 5 day getaway.
The purpose of my trip was to speak on a panel for Create & Cultivate. I did just that and it was so much fun but I also extended my trip. My bestie Natalie joined me and we had the time of our lives! To get a peek inside the panel and our first few days in Maui, check out the video below.
After the Create & Cultivate festivities were over, Natalie and I spent the next two days relaxing at the Wailea Beach Resort. This place is the best! It’s a hotel right on the beach with three pools, a delicious fine-dining restaurant and tons of activities. They also host a beautiful Luau dinner and have delicious cocktails. To be honest, it was hard to leave the premises but we did…twice.
The first excursion was to Mama’s Fish House. If you tell anyone who’s been to Maui that you’re going to Maui, the first thing out of their mouth will be Mama’s! And rightfully so. We checkout the beach side restaurant on the north shore and it was so DELICIOUS! The most delicious seafood meal I’ve ever had…that delicious. Make sure to make a reservation before your trip (they’re booked up almost every night) and pro-tip: rent a car to drive there! If you’re staying in Wailea, like we were, a cab to Mama’s is $80 each way!
Our second excursion was The Road to Hana. While we didn’t go all the way to Hana (it’s a long, narrow, windy road) we did take the Hana Highway and made some awesome stops along the way. We’ve visited the town of Paia, Twin Falls and made some other random stops for photos (duh). We also got off the Hana path and visited the Ali’i Lavander Farm. It was a full day of driving around in our rented Jeep, meeting new people and seeing the sights. It was perfect.
We ended our vacation with another beach day and said goodbye to Maui with tears in our eyes. It is really such a beautiful and magical place! And while I had a blast with my bestie, I definitely want to go back with Damien because Maui is so, so romantic! Until next time, beautiful island. Aloha.
